Counselling & Clinical Therapy
You are not alone.
Many people experience challenging life experiences that bring on difficult emotions. This can be relationship conflict, job stress, anxiety, depression, school stress, or hopelessness. Therapy can provide a safe space to process these emotions and move toward positive change. My approach is non-judgmental and supportive and is driven by your values and goals. What happens in session? The focus of the session is to identify your best hopes. We may discuss your relationships, work, school or important history in order to guide next steps. My objective is to listen to you and together we will determine how best to work together and how therapy may be helpful. Do you see couples and children? I offer individual therapy with children, youth and adults. Sessions with children and youth are individual sessions with parent/guardian/family involvement in order to best support the child/youth. I do not offer couples therapy at this time, though I welcome partners or loved ones to attend sessions to provide additional information or support should the individual see benefit in that. What are your qualifications? I am a Clinical Social Worker and hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and have experience working as a therapist in Alberta as well as Nova Scotia. I am registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. |
